A neighour has just brought me a basket of fresh green almonds. Any idea?

I wonder if they're good for pickling - like walnuts?

Then you should share them with me ;)

I shall have a think about what to do with them ... I had some blanched almonds in a stirfry of baby golden beet and leaves, shredded courgette and mange tout with a dash of tamari the other day ... jolly tasty it was too ... now thinking of more ideas .....

I hate to sound like a broken record - but Turkish shops may have them, and some large greengrocers

I have seen green almonds in Turkish Food Centre I think

If you get some, try the recipe. They are fabulous. I've had to hide them from Mr R.
