we will be eating our first earlies in the next day or so, dug tonight from the poly tunnel.
we planted a few i had that had sprouted in our potato bin. they are pembrokeshire first earlies and the two i pulled out of the ground at the weekend were very tasty.
having looked online it seems that if they're grown outside of pembrokeshire they're called 'lady christl'. they are very prolific - about twenty decent portions from five or six plants with a mix of baby to fist sized tubers. there will be more next week - and therefore bigger.
i may well save some small ones for seed from next weeks batch.
