Spring roll wrappers

Out of the main bustle of the Coffee shop this is where people gather to share recipes and tips/tricks.

Spring roll wrappers

Postby Hope » September 29th, 2017, 3:22 pm

Can I make samosas or spring rolls with these, brush with oil and bake?

THe packet says to steam them (um, no, I want crispy) or deep fry (which I have a pathological fear of!)

I'm soooooo happy to find something I can actually eat! :bounce: :chops: :chef: :hungry:

When I've used bought spring rolls from the Chinese supermarket, they're not very nice done in the oven, but ones from the supermarket are fine. To be honest, I'd give it a go and see what happens. I think if you brushed them with oil well, they'd probably be fine, there are plenty of recipes online for baked spring rolls.

Do you have the rice paper ones?

I've only ever had them as fresh summer rolls but I reckon baking them might work. Maybe try with a couple as an experiment?
