Enjoy your picnic!

Ours usually depend on where we are going... as we only live a few yards from the beach we sometime carry our brunch to eat sat in the dunes.

If it's a walk then it's what will fit in a small rucksack and not be too heavy to carry so usually sandwiches and perhaps a cold veggie sausage. Whatever we take we are 'hands' rather than 'knife & fork' picnic'ers!

These are some of our favourites

Muffaletta (always a winner!)
Warm Thai pork mince omelette
Spanish tortillas
Smoked salmon sandwiches
Ham and emmental baguettes
Saucisson in crusty rolls
Lettuce and Marmite sandwiches
A thermos of chilled soup
Vegetable crudités and a dip of choice
Fresh fruit
Cooked sausages
Boiled eggs
Cherry tomatoes

I feel like a picnic now! Enjoy yours.

So sorry to hear that... best laid plans :(

Not quite the same eating a picnic at home. We once drove to a favourite spot and were plagued by flies as soon as we stepped out of the car, it was boiling hot but we had to eat in the car with the windows closed trying not to think too much about the swarm outside!
