Mini Christmas cakes in the slow cooker

Postby LouP » December 12th, 2013, 12:58 pm

Hi All
Its been a while since I've been on here, but you guys are my go to people for cooking questions. So...
Has anybody cooked a Christmas cake in their slow cooker. I intend to do some mini cakes in Bean tins and then thought about using my slow cooker rather than the oven in the hope of preventing overcooked outsides before the middles are done. (I know that ii is very late, but I've been accumulating enough tins.)
Any guidance on what you think would be a good length of cooking time gladly welcomed. Or would you go for the oven instead?

Thanks for your help
