Cake mixes just got even easier!

This is the place where the bakers hang out. Cakes and breads abound.

Cake mixes just got even easier!

Now you don't even need to use a bowl and add an egg or two:

Easier still...

You can buy ready made cakes in most shops.

Well, exactly aero
And I am more likely to have the ingredients to bake a Victoria sponge to hand than "7 tablespoons of milk"
Bet the banana is :sprout: - dried banana reconstituted :sprout: :sprout:

And I'm really not sure why we needed all that info on Oetker's Nazi past, given that all the relevant people are long dead.

As it's hardly something you'd offer people coming to tea it must be aimed either as something to make with very small children or something dieters keep in the cupboard and make up in desperation if midnight munchies hit  . They really should have made it microwaveable, you can already do cake in a cup with a cake mix in seconds which pleases both categories of person I mentioned.

In France you can buy pouches of (wet) cake mix. You just put it in a tin and bake. I have bought one (novelty as ever tempted me) and it was fine. I suppose it makes the house smell of baking and you get freshly baked cake. But no sense of achievement, of course.

Well, no sense of achievement for one of us of course, but for some people it might feel like a triumph ... ;)
