good morning +

Order yourself a latte, and a pastry (The virtual cinnamon buns are excellent today). And have a nice chat.

Good morning all :D
Sue, OH has antibac handwipes in his backpack too ;) Hope you're on the mend
Showered, primped and preened and wearing something relatively decent to meet Earthmaiden for lunch :bounce:
First I have to go to the bank, Post Office and get some petrol ... when I've drunk more :mug: and discovered what everyone's been up to on here :D
Have a good day folks :D

good mornng, all.
overcast with a hint of bright and a little breeze. it was cold yesterday evening, the car said it was 10°c. it felt colder.
lazy boy has returned to his usual activity - snoring on the bed. my partner says he will be curtailing the cat's sense of entitlement if he spends the night perched on the edge again. however this means moving him to the bottom of the bed rather than chucking him off or making him move of his own volition - and i get called the mad, cat woman! if the cat's muscling in on my territory it's the cat that has to adapt, not me.
coffeelepathy is being practiced - it may take a bit of time.
have a cosy day, everyone.

Good morning, all.
Sunny with a prediction of sunny all day (sorry herbi).
We need to go and see our sons lights before getting the electrician in. Tonight might be the night.
The need for going shopping is getting desperate - my partner is eating his way through the last of the bramblys.
I will swing past the farm gate before heading for the supermarket as they have some lovely leeks, cauli, cabbage and potatoes and much cheaper than the shops. Everything is fifty pence (except five kg of pots) including the leeks but as they're as round as my forearm and nearly as long as my arm I think that's really good value. And the potatoes still have the dirt on so store better.
Have a good day, everyone.

good morning, all.
sunny with a bit of a breeze.
i'm off to a birthday party in an hour or so. it's a shame they don't sell cards at the farm gate. my partner swung by there yesterday to pick up some veg, rather than me going shopping, as he needed the car.
i am well known for not doing cards so maybe i shouldn't feel bad.

Good morning all ... well, almost :D
We've been out in the garden in the sunshine, raking leaves and moving pots of big plants to the most sheltered corner and bubble wrapping the terracotta ones for the winter. Now it's clouding over and I've come indoors to prep veg etc for supper while I listened to Desert Island Discs ... a very good one :tu:
Enjoy the birthday party Scully and have a good day folk :D s

Having taken meds first thing, I have movement without pain so spent an hour standing clipping clematis and honeysuckle, eventually Mr. Z. came out and collected residue and took it to the next burning point when it has dried out some. With all that sunshine I could not stay out of the garden, especially as I had sorted lunch and it was cooking alongside me out reducing greenery ! Stir fried brussels and leeks with some cauli. and tatos for him. I shall be slobbing out with my hottie on the settee with Wuzzle this avo. Feel I have credit under my belt now !

Having come inside, the sun is out, we have a HUGE rainbow right over the house and it is raining !!!!

Good morning ... I can't possibly be the only one about, it's gone 9.30 you lazy lot ! ;)

Anyway I have just had my first cuppa and will be off in 30 minutes or so to Zumba ... I found a half used box of Earl Grey tea bags in my cupboards .. decided they really needed to be used up, so they have been decanted into my tea caddy .. I never really like EG, but bought them as I thought I should ... however, now that the bergamot flavour has almost disappeared (there is just a hint now), I am really enjoying them ;) :chops: :tu: Just got to plough my way through the rest of the flavoured teas I have in the cupboard - chocolate being one of them :o

Bright but overcast with the promise of rain later.

Actually I have a pretty low key week, then next week is mayhem, so going to try to get a few things sorted out (but don't hold your breath)

The central heating man's arrived. He seems a decent, helpful chap - he told me he knew exactly what the problem is. I was relieved.

He's now told me it's a bit more complicated than he originally thought. :D

good morning, all.
rain earlier, overcast now with a breeze coming from the north west.
shopping was finally done last evening. the cats were grateful - it's not such an abundant takeaway season.
our names have finally come to the top of a waiting list to join the narrowboat that we holidayed on a few years ago. unfortunately we've had to decline membership due to other, ongoing commitments at the moment. this is a real shame but as there is also a commitment to share in the maintenance work over winter - in a more northerly direction - it wouldn't be very convenient. we would have to take a week away to take a week (or two) holiday. never mind.
as i've just spent time reading all the constitution and agm notes, etc, it is now aftermorning.
have a grand afternoon, everyone.

ps. hope your leak's stayed mended, gruney.

good morning, all.
overcast but a promise of brightening.
we were going up to delabole this morning (my computer decided i wanted to say 'gelable' instead) but other than sleeping in, something else has put that off until another day.
i was at the farm yesterday - i don't tend to sit down for the six hours i'm there. i felt like a nap when i got back - it would have been so easy.
i think we may have to treat ourselves to the last episode of montalbano, tonight, that i have on record. a little bit of sunshine on a chilly day.
have a good day, everyone.

The plan is a walk (just texted to see if I can combine that with delivering some cat food to the rescue girls (aka mad cat women)
Then proceed with decluttering of paperwork
Might go out to local "characterful" bar tonight to hear rather good band

sunny.
i did start this earlier, copied what i'd written then continued the operating system update - which has, of course, wiped the clipboard so i have to start again.
i had said that my partner had gone off to collect a load of rock and was building a hedge - which is still the case.
i shouldn't think that the 'high sierra' operating system is much different to 'sierra'. i will check it out over a coffee.

good morning, all.
the wind has dropped. last night's prediction for today was very windy all day but now it's just until early afternoon.
i was woken up at about eight thirty by my partner coming back in from securing a fence panel. i didn't notice him get up - i don't think the cat did either.
nothing planned for today other than the usual mundanities.
leftover pumpkin chowder for lunch and stuffed aubergines for dinner.

there was/is a website called 'stuff on my cat'. at the moment my laptop is half on my cat. if he insists on sitting on my lap while i type then he has to put up with the consequences.
nothing planned for today other than not eating very much - i had far too much for dinner last night and felt uncomfortable - and annoyed with myself - but i did enjoy it at the time.

Overcast with patches of blue here and decidedly chilly. OH has cycled into the city to see an exhibition and start his Christmas shopping. I'll have a look at the exhibition when I go into the city for my eye test on Thursday. Today I am mostly making a casserole and priming a canvas.

brightly overcast and the breeze has turned back to the more normal westerly.
i had a text from a friend early on saying that their annex is available for rent (not holiday) from january onwards if we know of anyone. i texted back to say i'd keep an ear out - then went back to sleep. they keep different hours to us.
i will be doing my cat sitting duties, for a friend, later. it's combined with a bit of shopping and rock removal. i will not be partaking in the latter.

Good morning
Sunny and cold here, but not actually frosty
Book Club is here tonight so I need to prep some nibbles and clear the table which is covered in the ongoing saga of the bank statements.
I have been trying to decide whether or not to make hummus, I don't think we really need it, but I fancy some so it will probably happen

Need to take a few photos while it is sunny so I can get quotes on a couple of things

bright and dry - not the cloudless blue of yesterday but better than a grey, drizzly pall common at this time year.
off to feed cats in a short while and buy tickets for the live cinema screening of the play about the young karl marx. i may invest in some magic cards for us for the dark days of winter when there's no minack but there is 'the flicks'.

Flippin' cold out there but no frost. The hedgehogs visited us last night for their supper of cat food ... they're still coming about one night in three at the moment so I put the food out anyway. The blackbirds are using the bird bath instead of the pond for their ablutions at the moment, as the pond is netted to catch the leaves ... they're nearly all down and we'll take the net off soon. I've been out to pick some Swiss chard to go with our curry this evening ... I'd better go and prep it now ...

good aftermorning, all.
overcast with the promise of rain in a couple of hours.
i have a new pair of celtic boots, too. i got mine from eBay for about £25 couple of weeks ago. i think they had, maybe, been worn in the house when first bought to try them and then not put on again because they felt too small. the fur on the insole wasn't flattened at all. i am more than pleased. they are a taller version of my old pair - which would have needed a re-sole anyway but which were slightly shredded when helping with cutting reeds at the beginning of the year. i will probably do the repairs to the old ones myself and use them as indoor boots. i was told, on friday, that the factory's shop up in newquay has stopped selling seconds and is only selling its ordinary shop stuff - big shame. i wonder where the seconds go now!
i really aught to do some hswk but the inclination isn't kicking in.
have a cosy footed afternoon, everyone.

good morning, all.
sunny at the moment in contradiction to the beeb's forecast.
what is it with cats? our bed was plagued by all three last night rather than just the lazy boy. we may have to shut the bedroom door.
i have been bought coffee and will think about a bit of hswk when it's finished - maybe only think about it, though.
have a good day, everyone.

Good morning
We had watery sun, now fading
I had a tricky decision to make today, member's evening at the British Museum (which I was leaning towards) or monthly backgammon club, which I will miss in December as it clashes with the wedding
However I fell asleep on the sofa early yesterday evening, and woke up with a miserable cold after midnight
I think the BM is probably out, and BG is very doubtful too but I'll wait until after lunch to decide
Have a good day everyone

Good morning, all.
I can't work out if it's just getting light or if it's overcast - yes, I'm still in bed and the blind is shut.
Nothing planned for today, let's see what turns up - I doubt it'll be hswk.
Hope you're feeling better, sue.
Have a good day, everyone.

Good morning
It is cloudy but not very cold, and no rain expected here
No real plans here but lots of "stuff" to do so will potter on, as I still have a nasty cold.
Have a good day everyone
