Order yourself a latte, and a pastry (The virtual cinnamon buns are excellent today). And have a nice chat.

Well done EM, I had a trying on session yesterday, 4 large blouses are going to the charity shop on Monday, I am determined this time that I wont have the " oh well, these still fit" options left in my wardrobe. However, I found a pretty bra in the drawer that shall we say is a work in progress  , and it needs a lot of progress ;)

why not make a 'fat quilt' out of the clothes with suitable fabric and so have a reminder for when your hand hovers over a second biscuit?

Yesterday was a fast day, I was cooking for the Cattery Summer Fair, I made cheese scones! My will power is stronger than I thought. Phew, I want my CP tabbard to do up by Saturday week, I had to keep reminding myself

Sometimes you have to let yourself have what you want, otherwise the whole thing becomes joyless. Ok so you may lose weight at a slower pace but who says it is a race? You are all beautiful no matter what, be kind to yourselves. Sometimes life is just too short ♥♥♥

Well done grassy & mum - the downward spiral is all that matters ;) .

Well done Chinch - I suppose when you are baking for an event it is slightly easier to resist .. but cheese scones .. :chops: :chops:

I had a bad few days this week (actually, they were rather good and I don't regret eating the things I did 8-) ). I thought I was going to regain all the weight I lost last week .. but I remained the same! I was ecstatic. Aiming for 3lb this week. :cocktail:

Well done Grassy and EM, Catherine is right, its not a race, slow and steady is better than it all ending in tears because you get fed up with diet food, thats where I have gone wrong before (Many times)

Well done Icey! I sometimes peep in on the 'What have you eaten today' thread and am always in awe of your controlled eating habits!

Weigh in for me tomorrow, I'm not sure I will hit the 3lb for my next 1/2 stone award but will be disappointed if it's not 2lb. I have been very controlled this week and after SW tomorrow plan to eat something very nice for a treat  .

I was good as gold all week, careful with everything, very pleased with myself and had that feeling of being a few lb lighter. I jumped onto the scales with a smiling face hoping to have lost 3lbs (1.5 stone award) or 4lbs (Club 10 award) but it said I had put ON 1lb

Oh well, onwards and hopefully downwards. I had hoped to celebrate with something nice for a treat but it's back to apples, eggs, and quark :(

I am fighting the necessity to go back to SW. I galls me that a few years ago I successfully, and with hardly any effort, lost 3.5 stone ... I have since put 1.5 of that back on and since my recent health MOT when I was told I was in the 'overweight' range, I have been trying to lose it again. So, for the last 3-4 weeks, I have made conscious, healthy choices, cut out saturated fats, cut down on cheese (my downfall) , reduced meat portions, have hardly eaten any bread, so no butter .... and failed to lose an ounce ... :(

Its not that hard Patsy, I will admit to early nights on fast day, but I doubt it would be suitable for you, it does have a funny effect on my plumbing sometimes, can be a bit all or nothing the day after

EM- I HATE it when that happens. It's SO unfair isn't it? What I have found in the past is that the following week you nearly always have a good loss. I think it's something to do with hormones or the phase of the moon or something.

Perhaps I should go back to basics too ... I thought I would do this diet plan again, mainly the Green one; less meat, more veg.. I just drop a couple of pounds, then it goes back on again. It must be all that eating out (Friday, Saturday AND yesterday last week ! :( ) ... I am getting tired of Chicken Cesar salad. :td:

Presumably the old red and green ones work if you stick to them! It's the getting weighed every week and the shame factor that works for me - even if I don't follow the plan properly :). I do think that if you eat out a lot it probably helps to be mindful of the rules though, it's quite cleverly worked out really but boils down to virtually no fat and sugar I think.

I went for a dental checkup today, the first since I started at SW. I do look after my teeth but the hygienist always takes pleasure in scraping off a lot of hidden plaque etc all the same  . Today she wasn't nearly so vicious and said that my teeth had lasted the 6 months remarkably well. I can only put it down to having cut so much cr*p from my diet .... bonus!!

Popped in just to be weighed this morning as I can't go on Friday. I had lost 3lb in 5 days! Really thrilled as I got my Club 10 award (that means I have now lost 10% of my original weight). Now for the dilemma ... I lost that much because I haven't felt too well this week and haven't eaten much. If you keep to your Club 10 weight or below for x number of weeks you get a free week. I wonder if I can keep that off when my appetite returns? It is at least an incentive to do so, along with the fact that one more pound and I am in the 'next stone down'. :bounce: :bounce:

I thought of you this morning PP - they were going to have one of those mornings where people bring in food they have cooked to try, most of which is made within SW guidelines and some, IMO. would be better to cut out altogether than pretend to enjoy :). I noticed that someone had made Scran Bran Gingerbread. I was reminded of the luscious, gooey, treacle laden gingerbread my grandmother would serve, each slice generously buttered. I wasn't sorry to give the Scran Bran a miss :).

I've never eaten anything yet made with Scan Bran that's been worth the bother. :o

Well done on the Club 10 though. Many moons ago I managed to get the Club 10 the same week as I got my 2 stone award. I was furious with our then leader for presenting me with both as it didn't take any kind of mathematical genius to work out what my starting weight was!!

Well done icey!! Hope it isn't one of those pounds that doesn't want to budge!

PP - yes, that would be a tad annoying! I'm not sure that anyone really cares about people's starting weights really. What does grate a bit is people whose original target was to lose a stone sitting there each week looking smug and giving advice as 'target members' when most of the other people in the room have already lost more than that and still have a way to go! We have several of those ;) .

Hope the weight's going the right way Icey. I've had a blip ... having to fit in weigh-ins all over town at the moment as I haven't been able to get to my usual group. Tomorrow morning I will find out if starving myself for the weekend has removed the 2lb gain last Thursday :o.
