Have you been to comedy dining experiences?

Order yourself a latte, and a pastry (The virtual cinnamon buns are excellent today). And have a nice chat.

Have you been to comedy dining experiences?

Morning all. Dad's birthday is in November. As some of you know, we like to treat him to a special meal but he is a pain in the a**** to take out. We struggle to come up with something different each year. He doesn't 'do' children, loud music or chaos. He likes to go to a smart hotel/restaurant where the décor is nice, the food and service well timed and expects an all round outstanding experience. So we have booked to take him to the following.

We have booked the Fawlty Towers experience :terrified:

Well, the hotel is nice, we have eaten there before and the food and service are generally good. That is where it will stop. The first he will know is when Sybil and Basil greet the guests at the pre-dinner drinks in the hotel bar.

He may not even realise it is a set up. The first real inkling is where we go through, and instead of having a table of four (dad's friend is coming up from Eastbourne and is in on it) , we will all be seated at tables of 10 - 12.

We hope he will enjoy it, he has been known to surprise us but it could go either way. :?   Dad is know as Victor in his local.

They are a professional company who travel all over the UK doing this, so hopefully will interact with those up for a laugh.

There is a five minute video to watch.

Has anyone had any experience of these evenings?

Whichever way it goes, it will certainly be memorable.
