Didn't eat much of interest in the last week. Oh apart from my one Christmas dinner out

pecorinao and pea croquettes, garlic aili, pea shoots, then, wild mushroom pithivier, pearl barley, rocket pesto and, a bit bizzarely, chips. Dessert was Christmas pudding with whipped cream and a nice tart berry compot.
Did ok in France yesterday, considering...
Had breakfast of scrambled eggs, a selection of breads with butter and homeade apricot jam, (why didn't I eat my croissant?! Doh.) and then some fromage frais with compot and toasted oats (I think). I didn't eat the pretty bowl of fruit. I am not used to any breakfast, never mind this much.
A very late lunch was flammekueche with butternut squash.
Ate some junky, but lovely frangipane things in the Euroshuttle train on the way home. Delicious baguette and salty French butter, then a tiny Bonne Maman dessert when we got home.
Today I was going to do stuffed mini pumpkins (cheese, sage, creme fraiche, I think. Maybe s-d toms.) but couldn't get into the pumpkins. Too hard. I am roasting them whole and, if they are edible, will do something with them tomorrow. So, instead, I am having a Waitrose ready meal 'Italian Macaroni Cheese with Cauliflower & Squash', which I was meant to have for lunch, but it got too late.
