Oh, and while we're on the subject - what happened to that chap that Lilian was having an affair with when she was with Matt?

I wonder if Jess might reappear and she and Helen compare notes ...........

can't be much of a school if it is willing to take such a young child. It isn't Dotheboys Hall is it?

My brother's school took boarders from 7 - every so often a little one would be found walking along the A1120 past our village (about 6 miles from the school) trying to find his way home

Mr Rats went to boarding school at 8. It was a catherdral choir school but he has said it was far far too young and, had it not been for the music and his fascination with it it would have been hell. However because all the boys were in the same boat , so to speak, it was bearable and often enjoyable - when he was singing.

Did anyone hear Feedback on Radio 4 this afternoon? There was a spokesperson for Women's Refuge on and she said it was not at all unusual and it could go on for years.
I knew this because i used to be involved with women in refuges while trying to get the children back into education - rather a different scene. It is utterly unthinkable for all of us who are in a happy relationship to understand how men, and some women, can be so manipulative and wicked to create such unhappiness.

Fingers doubly crossed but I suspect there is more to go.

I'm waiting for her to attack him ... just what he wants  but he might get more than he's bargained for - that really would be an interesting/controversial story-line - battered husband, Helen in court for assault/attempted murder .................

Can't wait for tonight's episode. Could anyone imagine in this day and age of video, tv soaps and the likes of Game of Thrones that a 60 yearold radio serial could create such excitement and controversy? Gran, bless her heart was right. She always said the Archers would probably outlast us all!
