Chatterbox LXXIX Piran

Order yourself a latte, and a pastry (The virtual cinnamon buns are excellent today). And have a nice chat.

Yes, I think it may be down to the quality/type of food that is available. I bought what I thought was a good value sack of seed mix from my local garden centre last week, but it turns out to be almost entirely of wheat grains; very little else and as my BiL pointed out, only pigeons would really eat that. The 2 feeders that were filled last Saturday have hardly been touched, so you obviously get what you pay for. I am now blitzing it down and mixing with the fat/dripping that I have accumulated from all the bone stock I have been making lately and making fat cakes. I usually place a large order with the RSPB as the quality from them is good ... unless anyone else knows better ;)

I use the large bags from Costco but they last forever and I sometimes find squirrels in the bin I keep it in.
