My only reaction is why weren't body moisturising lotion and raspberries already in there?

... and why are peaches and nectarines out? I suspect it is because the ones found in supermarkets are always unripe and then shrivel before they ripen at home.

I agree, body lotion is arriving unexpectedly late to the party, as is quiche - presumably because nobody except us makes it at home!

As for leggings - another late arrival, I just walked up the High Street, and as it has been for years, the majority of females out shopping are wearing either jeans or lefggings, though apparently exercise leggings are the ones that have been added

I rarely seem to buy anything that is reported as being in this basket of theirs

Mr R said "But raspberries are seasonal aren't they ?" I tried to tell him that they are available all year in UK supermarkets. He looked puzzled

They are certainly available frozen (which may be what the index uses)

But there are a number of seasonal foods in the basket I think it is actually deliberate

I love pork pies. Why are they out?

It's complicated isn't it. There is an appendix here .. the way some things are calculated is a bit :? . It looks as though they change the guidelines rather than there really being huge changes in the sale of quiche, pork pies or peaches. Good to see that knitting wool has become a clothing accessory ;) .
