'On the road again!' - I'm being moved!

Order yourself a latte, and a pastry (The virtual cinnamon buns are excellent today). And have a nice chat.

I don't think I'd buy any electrical appliance from EBay, or any other auction sites, unless it was guaranteed to be brand spanking new and unused and even then probably not. In my opinion it's much safer to buy them from a shop where at least one knows that any guarantee is above board.

I didn't want a new one, strange as it may sound, I have only had one new one in my life (just recently), it went wrong and now I am on the 2nd replacement ! This is the built in one - so I am very unimpressed.

The first one I bought from an add. 2nd hand and it lasted me 10 years, it finally had rust in one corner on the inside so decided it was probably none too safe. Second one was also 2nd hand (£20) still going strong - only the internal light does not work and the timer is not accurate.

The one I have just won on 'bay is (apparently) 18 months old and has been used no more than a dozen times. So for £30 I think that is a bargain. The same model new is £145. And it's a combination oven !

Thanks Kavey! Yes, all my belongings are here with me now. Over a year with everything dotted around all over the place, finally I'm reunited with the lot, which is a bit overwhelming.

Bonus is that the building seems quite well soundproofed against unwanted noises, unlike the last place where I hear that police attendances are still a daily occurence. I'm well out of there! :bounce:

I can tell you Tezza ... I'm mightily relieved you're where you are :D Which edge of Luton are you on (if you don't mind me asking). As you know it's "Ma's heritage" :)

Duh!!! Silly me ........... I knew Dunstable well once upon a time ... my Little Granny's local shopping centre once she moved to Heath & Reach ... when I was small she used to take me on the bus to either Leighton Buzzard or Dunstable. Other family lived at Eaton Bray :D

Glad you like it so much, Tezza. It's always fun exploring a new area as well. The one good thing about moving so very often when I was a student (years ago now...)
