BBC Food Board final RIP?

Postby Sakkarin » May 9th, 2018, 9:55 am

Apologies if this has already been picked up on...

Just a note to let ex-Beeb Board members know that the Food Board archive (which I thought was supposed to be preserved for posterity) appears to have been switched off.

I had to suspend "Sakkarin's Search Engine" about 6 weeks ago after a hostile attack on my webspace led to my service provider insisting that I purge my webspace. I was going to reinstate it, but I've now found that the links no longer work, they just default to the Beeb home page.

Here's a few examples of the old Beeb Board thread links:

There used to be a way of searching it via Google, I wonder if anyone still has details of that, that might unearth some vestige of it. A million posts down the drain otherwise!

Project of the week: see if anyone can find hide or hair of the old Beeb Board archive.

Goodness, it all seems such a long time ago now doesn't it? Sad the links are no longer available. Do you remember NAF? And OTGF on the BBC Gardening board?

Especially sad as it was through the Beeb Food Board that I met friends who have remained friends for yonks and of course most of us joined up again on this board!
