... and we are ahead of the game. There is a "Saoirse"! :)

But there are a lot of Gaelic and Welsh names this year. https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/news/relea ... es-2018-19

I'm more worried, as are my family , by Florenec bearing down on the USA/. DD and family lived in Virginia Beach for nearly 30 months and they had to evacuate twice for various storms - they were only one block from the seafront! Unfortunately each time SIL was away in Europe - he was with NATO. First time they said was terrifying they set off in plenty of time to get to friends inland at Richmond but were completely jammed as everyone else seemed to be doing the same. The electricity cables are so fragile they lost power more frquently than we do here.

They still have lots of freinds in VB and GD's first boyfriend who has kept in touch ever since has messaged her today saying they too are in Richmond tonight. If you have seen the place - right on Chesapeake Bay one can really understand how sacry it must be.

Good luck to you all is what we say

Our American friends moved from Virginia Beach to the north of Mississippi last year. Niece is in Atlanta. Both have just avoided a hurricane so far. They were called tropical storms by the time they arrived and seemed really fierce, and very wet.

I do hope that all Wildie's friends and families are safe.

Do you think that next time they will go the whole hog for the 26 least pronounable names, thus educating us at the same time?

"Here she is everyone ... please meet Saoirse :D

it means freedom and liberty and is pronounced like this https://www.babynamesofireland.com/audio/saoirse.mp3 "
