Monseratt Caballe RIP

Order yourself a latte, and a pastry (The virtual cinnamon buns are excellent today). And have a nice chat.

Monseratt Caballe RIP

Fabulous voice - I also loved Barcelona with freedy Mercury - but a very difficult watch because of her size and shape. I saw her many years ago in London and had to close my eyes

I suppose you could call her the last of the old fashioned divas, or what Mr R calls "Plant and sing" performers.

As you say, a fabulous voice and a powerful personality. RIP :(

Yes, I saw a documentary about her years ago and found her surprisingly likeable, and quite funny about Freddie

RIP

I used to know someone who trawled round after her (with permission!) writing her biography. I wonder if it will be reissued. (Long out of print.) I suppose it won't be very up to date.)
