It's A Little Bit Early, But ........

We've got our tree & decs up.

I know it's a bit early, but we started sorting things out............... then we got the tree out................. and the lights................ and the baubles & stuff...........
Mum's going for a knee replacement next month, so she wanted the tree up before then. She WAS going to go in on Saturday. All arrangements had been made, I'd booked time off 'W', etc, BUT they had to change the date.

Anywho - this gives us more time to prep for Xmas :tu: ;)

Well done for getting those decs etc up so that it doesn't interfere with your mum's knee op! Very sensible I say. :tu:

I was moving some stuff around in my bedroom earlier to move an item of furniture out, and found my giant bag of decs. When I put the room back together again I put the decs back on top for easy access. It won't be long..... :bounce:

As our home is totally upside down ATM - build ! I may just put up some lights but that is all.

Under normal circumstances it is normally 2 weeks before C. for us.

Well done grassy :tu: we are also upside down, half the floor is up and OH is re boarding it ready for the second half to be dug out 9 inches and damp proof laid then concrete. When that is in progress there will be no carpet or furniture and we will have to walk on boards to get to the kitchen. We are just waiting for the date for the start which could be before Christmas. I don't think we will have a tree and decks this year.

So upsetting when ops get cancelled. Hope all is well next time. I always think (and I think someone here said they did this) that some lights and things need to be left up to give us joy through the dark days of January too.

Both knees need doing - but one knee is worse than the other.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that I filled our little Advent houses with chocolate treats without eating a single one!

My Christmas stuff is in the attic. It's way too early anyway, but I can't get into the attic. Really annoyingly husvand is required. Ditto re getting a tree, so it's often been left until Christmas Eve. Christmas day one year for decorating! (I was very ill, but got up very early before mother and husband and did it.)

The tree market outside the church is now open for business. It’s run by a lot called Pines and Needles, who are supposed to be the best, so I may have a look
The other church usually had a tree seller in the car park too, they seem to be an off shoot of the Forestry Commission

My mother should get her Christmas tree by post tomorrow (Bloom and Wild). St Nicholas's day seems as good a day as any, if not slightly better...?
Not sure if last year's surivived. She probably doesn't know either... :?
