New Members - Introduce yourself here!

Order yourself a latte, and a pastry (The virtual cinnamon buns are excellent today). And have a nice chat.

Hello this is Sandy Mahin from Holtsville. I am a damn coffee freak. I really love mocha most. Also I love to drink Americano most of the days.

Hello I am not really a new member, I have been "juliana50" for a long time, but for some reason I have had to re-register. Perhaps it was because I have not posted for a while. I lurk and follow with interest all that's going on most days. I did not bother to re-register until I found there were lots of birthdays I had been neglecting - so belated good wishes to everyone.

Hi, I don't know if anyone will remember me, the search function tells me I haven't posted since 2011 but I used to be a regular. I guess life took over! I'm now a mum of an 8 month old baby and in the process of weaning. I've seen alot of names I recognise, look forward to chatting to you all again.

Thanks, I recognise so many names here, I remember yours!
My top tips are blackout blinds and Ewan the Dream Sheep :)

The reason I stopped posting was that in 2010 I split with my long term partner and started a new job which was much busier than the last (hence no posting in work time :D ). I was also cooking in a pub in the evenings to make ends meet and didn't have wifi at home for a while either. I'm currently on maternity leave and looking to reignite my passion for food, my current OH is a fussy awful eater and as a result I've ended up 4 stone heavier and eating beige frozen food all the time as he just won't eat anything else. Having eaten his mum's cooking I understand why :o

Hi from Scotland. I'm Stu. I'm a massively-keen cook (and also make my own sausages, bacon, salami, etc) I also shoot and fish, so I use an awful lot of game in my kitchen, as well as salmon, trout and sea-trout. I'm an avid smoker too, and produce a lot of smoked cheeses, as well as all sorts of other delicious produce including a few Cajun and Southern US recipes. Looking forward to reading the board, and hopefully contributing from time to time, too :)

Hi Stu and welcome :D
Looking forward to hearing more about your cooking. I'm from a farming family so lots of game used in my kitchen when I can get my hands on it. Hopefully Spottedick will be around again soon after his wanderings - he lives in Germany and is really into game and smoking too.
Here's a link to his blog, which you may find interesting http://spotteddick-itsallinthegame.blogspot.co.uk/

Hi Badger's mate! Are you also Badgerbum? Or is that one of your past identities that has been revived by joining Wildfood again? If so, it would be useful if you could post with just one of your identities to avoid confusion.

If, by some coincidence, Badgersbum has just started posting again at the same time you've joined, I apologise!

Hello

I like pasta and I usually experiment with pasta sauce- the simplest being the best, my favourite is olive oil, chilli flakes and garlic with lots of black pepper and Parmesan on top. I also like spicy food and the more garlick the better. The only thing I wouldn't thank you for is a plate that was just meat and potatoes.

We talked about it on Tuesday's Chatterbox ......... some forum members had friends and family involved ............. thankfully not badly ......... I think the board has been a bit subdued since.

Hi andipandi,

Political discussion (General Election) is not encouraged although views are expressed on threads . There have been a few posts where Riocaz has reminded people of this over the years. Other things not to mention on here........ nothing springs to mind! The rules are clear but few. Keep it friendly etc.

The horrific events in Manchester were discussed on Chatterbox and elsewhere and from what I've read there has been massive support. What an amazing show of support by the people of Manchester. My nephew is a student there and I'm going to go and visit soon I hope. :)
