Thank you all for such a wonderful, warm welcome. I think I'm going to like it here and I always did like to keep the very best company :hug:

Great to see you all here on "The Wild Side" - I gave up posting on the "other side" after some spiteful and in my view unnecessary responses to a post I contributed too and really am very sad to see how it's degenerated over recent months. In my view food should be fun, whether it's talking about it, reading about it, shopping for it, being curious about it, cooking it or eating it and that's what I think you're all contributing to here :chef:

Hello to all - particular greetings to AZ Cook - I'm really missing the USA but settling it pretty well back here in Wales and it was lovely to see your message.

Take care all and have fun

Yes - in another life and on another board I was foodymaryjay but I think FoodMary is more appropriate as my family say I can't go an hour without talking about food, eating food, cooking food or trying to feed everyone else. Thanks for welcome!

hello! :)

Some of you might know me from the BBC (dare I say?!) veggie board. (I was Ahopeful over there, decided to shorten it for here - just hope I don't confuse myself!)

edit to add (Oh it's nice to do that!) I'm a vegetarian, also gluten free. I love cooking, gardening, especially growing veg, crafts, photography, walking in the woods. I'm a full time mum to my 3-y-o son and part-time housewife!

Me too Hope! and I love vegetable dishes very much too! I'm considering the conundrum of a large round courgette that weighs 800g and comes from the garden. It is still sitting on the bar of the kitchen and needs my attention really. :bounce:

Hey Hope, Monnikka etc , what a number of familiar "faces". I thought I'd test the water over here, probably mainly in the veg patch, but no doubt I will stray from time to time...

Wildfruitbat. (Longterm veggie "cook of the house" and food obsessive)

I feel better already, I was all day mourning the demise of the BBC Veggie board, which I only found out about yesterday.

[quote="Jaybird"] I feel a bit like a refugee.

Yes. Certainly a displaced person. I really didn't realise how much I would miss the veggie board until this week. Like losing valued friends and neighbours. But it seems many people are drifting in this direction. I do hope it works.
And I think I have already mastered quotes, something I never did on the BBC board. And LOVE

Good morning everyone - it's me, Suffolk Samphire under a new name cos I've had to re-register in order to get in - I've tried on laptop at home and here at work on the pc, so it most be something on the board, not OH's software as I thought it might be. I need to contact Riocaz but as I'm now a newbie I can't send a PM and when I click on Contact Riocaz nothing happens - oh where did it all go wrong? :?

Hi there,

This might be a suitable one for the "ask the mods" thread. As to what's happening or why... I've no idea, this is definitely one that Lee will have to look into. Best of luck.
