Would it be rude to ask for a candle for myself? We have come through Irma but she has devastated this lovely place. We have lost all but one small storeroom of our house but we are better off than many. Still glad to be alive though! Thanks in advance! X

Im so glad to hear from you Rocky, but so sorry about your home (the house and the BVI as a whole). I've been checking in hoping to hear something.

Candles lit and thoughts are with you hoping that all can be rebuilt around you. Wish there was something we could do.

Have been thinking of you every day. Such a relief to hear you made it through.
Life will be so hard for you now to repair your lives, so will still think of you.
Will light a candle with hopes of a brighter future for you and all the people so badly affected by Irma.

Dear Rocky. As everyone has said, we have been thinking of you every day and hoping you would post again soon.

I'm afraid I relised quite soon this would not be with good news but you and yours and safe, "Things" can be fixed and relpaced, people can't. I have lit my candle every night since Irma was flagged up.

So much love coming towards you and everyone else in the Caribbean who have been so massively affected. I can light a candle and I will but also just want you and all your friends to know that you are always in my thoughts

While we were away, we heard the sad news that one of Mr. Z's blokes mates wife had died at the age of 60. :( She had a number of health issues but he apparently came home and found her...... She was at our silver wedding anniversary which was one of the last times I saw her. Very sad.... There was an autopsy and the funeral is next week.....in Salisbury.

Far too young Zosh.

I heard yesterday that my cousin's widow died that morning. She was 85 but was a heavy smoker all her life - great fun though. My cousin died just a few motns ago. He was like a big brother to me and everyone said we looked alike. They met when he was a merchant seaman and she was a QA - based in Cyprus.
