Lighting a candle

Order yourself a latte, and a pastry (The virtual cinnamon buns are excellent today). And have a nice chat.

I am lighting a candle for a work colleague/friend who lost her husband last week. Both her sons have been a huge support to her, they took it in turns alternate nights to help nurse their dad. She kept it quiet until a few weeks ago as she wanted life to carry on as normal for as long as possible.

Unfortunately my colleague's mother in law is causing a few problems and announced she would not be attending the funeral.

That's plain selfish of her ... whatever has gone before, it's not about her but about her son and his loved ones. How sad ... I'm glad his widow has good friends around her. My thoughts are with her and their sons.
