She has had a call an hour ago to say op cancelled because she has Haemophilla (sp?) she will need to see a specialist first. :o She is absolutely distraught. She said it is clear in her notes and she told them again at the pre op. So, as they said it was urgent, why do they think she can now wait 5 weeks?? all hey said was sorry. :(

Ice, hope your friend soon gets the treatment she needs.

A candle please for my school friend whose husband died suddenly. Taken far too soon. :(

It's not about me at all, but I'm shocked at how upset I am. At my/our age, maybe a bit too close to home? I don't want to be that 'next' generation.

Hugs for my friend.

A candle please for a local 17 year old lad and his family who drowned here on Thursday evening.

Unfortunately, much as The Lea Valley has "No Swimming" signs everywhere, it was the hottest day of the year and many youngsters have taken silly chances.

I didn't know the lad personally but he was obviously loved by many.

A candle here, and thoughts, for your young, local lad. How sad. This happened where I used to live, the cool water in the heat was just too tempting. I think he was around the same age.
RIP young man.

Can I please have a candle lit for a very dear friend of mine. Jenny was my doubles partner when we were at the top of our game. So many good memories feel like they have been ripped apart. I was only speaking to her Friday evening and wonder if she knew this was the last time we were to speak, if really she just called to say good bye. I am left feeling deeply saddened, angry, cheated, cross, helpless....actually there are so many conflicting emotions. Above all I wish Jen could see her Facebook wall and see how dearly loved she was. Her face lit up a room and she brought laughter and love everywhere with her. she was so loved and yet just didn't love herself. She committed suicide, aged 42. RIP Jenny if only you knew the deep hole you would leave. ♥♥♥

Two ex colleagues of mine have died of breast cancer this week, both far too young. Another, even younger, is fighting for her life as I write. That bloody, bloody awful disease. Lighting candles for Karen and Lisa and praying very hard for Keely.
