Order yourself a latte, and a pastry (The virtual cinnamon buns are excellent today). And have a nice chat.

A polite request from me, after just over six hours at sea.

Fellas - any chance that when using the communal bucket you could aim a bit better please? I know the waves have been a bit choppy and all that, but still.....

Thank you in advance.

Did anyone bring any Domestos by the way?

I was wondering the same suffolk, having been engrossed in my Nicci French novel for an hour or so, hands and feet feel a bit chilly, might need to go in search for an extra blanket, or Peter Falk if he's still awake. ;)

Hurry up Scullion, for goodness sake get Prince William to bring you. He might be nearer than Coo'rus.

Bring some more red wine and orange juice for Tezza. Freshly squeezed mind.

Tezza stay away from Peter Falk, he may decide to detect you and we don't want that do we.

Gosh where is everyone, are you all down with seasickness. I was taught how not to be seasick by a vicar many years ago. Never sick on our boat.

Scullion could you please bring some Andrex loo roll with you, that Hicky only ordered Tesco value and my bum is scarted to bits.

Not been seasick ever and not planning on starting now. Who packed the food provisions? WHAT???!!!! Oops

Did the Ikea flat pack extend to en suite flushing facilities?

Good morning evreryone I trust your first night on board was a pleasant one.
Firstly to clear up a few issues

Tezza
"Fellas - any chance that when using the communal bucket you could aim a bit better please? I know the waves have been a bit choppy and all that, but still....."

I have had a word with the males on board & they have all promised to aim to please.

James & katherina also Scullion

Unfortunately as you were not on board as we departed you will not have been issued with boarding passes so as a security precaution we cannot allow you on board, however you are more that welcome to sail along side & I am sure scullion will make a good shipmate
The good news is you will still be allowed to pass up as much free booze as you wish.

Mischieviousrealro
Did the Ikea flat pack extend to en suite flushing facilities

Is a bucket & a red face not a flushing facility

Suffolk
"Is anyone organising any exercises on deck this morning"
I am happy for you to become personal trainer while on board, but please dont have too much jumping up & down on deck, remember it is only Ikea quality

Thats all for now breakfast will be served in the galley between 8.00 am & 10.00

Your captain

OK - in my role as personal trainer ... :whip2:

Friday's exercise will be :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Bicycling on your Back

Here's how to do it:-

1. Find something comfortable to lie on

2. Lie down carefully on your back

3. Perform cycling movements with your legs.

4. For those of you not used to vigorous exercise just lie still - don't want you to strain anything and I don't think we brought a physio with us

Anyone feeling faint should remain prone and wait for Jim ;jimlad; to send up some grog.

And can some of you please budge up a bit? I need some space for my inflatable mattress ...

Thanks Uschi, not transport but I have just thought of a good idea for dinner

Slow roast Hampster served on a bed of Lily petals with a Dragonfly Confit, ( this is real gourmet cuisine) for our discerning passengers.

Would you all like a formal evening where we all dress up posh or do you just prefer to slum it, let me know what you think

Crikey you are going to need a lot of hamsters and dragonflies to go round. Will the rodents be cooked on a coctail stick (spit) roast Terry?

I will pass up on the mains thank you. :sprout: How will the lily leaves be prepared? Any sides to go with it?

Who's bringing pud?

Don't mind going in for a bit of dressing up. Always nice to make an effort. :D

Beware - sounds remarkably like Lotus-eating to me ...

In Odyssey IX, Odysseus tells how adverse north winds blew him and his men off course as they were rounding Cape Malea, the southernmost tip of the Peloponnesus, headed westwards for Ithaca:
"I was driven thence by foul winds for a space of 9 days upon the sea, but on the tenth day we reached the land of the Lotus-eaters, who live on a food that comes from a kind of flower. Here we landed to take in fresh water, and our crews got their mid-day meal on the shore near the ships. When they had eaten and drunk I sent two of my company to see what manner of men the people of the place might be, and they had a third man under them. They started at once, and went about among the Lotus-Eaters, who did them no hurt, but gave them to eat of the lotus, which was so delicious that those who ate of it left off caring about home, and did not even want to go back and say what had happened to them, but were for staying and munching lotus with the Lotus-eaters without thinking further of their return; nevertheless, though they wept bitterly I forced them back to the ships and made them fast under the benches. Then I told the rest to go on board at once, lest any of them should taste of the lotus and leave off wanting to get home, so they took their places and smote the grey sea with their oars."

Hickey - you might have to assert your authority

Tezza I thought a nice Tempura would go well, I think two Hampsters per peson would be about right.

American supper might be the easiest way though.

Suffolk.

Not too sure where we are as all of Europe is underwater, the charts I have are just a sheet of blue with the word water written across

Typical from you lot up there, if you do not pull your weight you might find yourself sleeping in the brig on rations

I've just woken up - my cabin was so cosy although a bit small I've slept all the way so far. I brought ten packs of dry Army rations - rather not say where they came from, a bottle of gin and a crate of "Spitfire" beer.

I don't care where we go as long as we have an adventure. At my age that's as good as it gets

If things go badly wrong (Ikea etc.....) we are going to need a sacrifice!!! So the eighteenth space needs to be someone "disposable"... ;)

Any nominations?

I'm glad the sun has clearly hoved over the yardarm :cocktail:

As luck would have it, I've been trawling with my fishing net and have dredged up some lovely big oysters. Shall we adjourn to the champagne bar?

well, am i glad i missed the boat, and not allowed aboard!
those rather lovely young men from culdrose winched me down to a floating gin palace.
there is more than ample amounts of luxurious accommodation (neither nextdoor cabin is occupied, let alone by the flatulent).
the fitness suite has a sauna.
the chef is amazing and the bar is excelently stocked.
oh, by the way, we have gps and sonar - so we know where we are and how deep it is.
if you need it, i have a spare screwdriver and that ha'porth of tar that suffolk mentioned. oh, and some old rope if you need to pick oakum!

i may have a couple of spare cabins but you would have to write a good account of why one should be given to you if you wanted to jump ship!

I noticed that amongst your oysters you dredged up some dulse too! Packed full of nutrients I couldn't see it going back into the sea wasted, so I nabbed it, hope you don't mind. Chef said he makes a mean clam and dulse chowder, so you can expect that to be on the menu over the next couple of days folks.

So glad I don't eat clams! :D

You're most welcome Tezza!

I like dulse too. It reminds me of holidays in Northerm Ireland. Lots of places up the Antrim coast sold it dried in paper bags. I expect they still do.

Mind you, the clam and dulse chowder sounds wonderful :chef:
