Hi, Rocky has posted on FB that she can't get on to this site. She's getting a message saying her IP is blocked as she is blacklisted. Can any of the mods help? Thanks
It's possible that you have a "Dynamic IP". You service provider may change the one you use each time you connect. If so, his list may contain one that was banned for some reason. I'll have a look.
I'v had a quick look at the list of banned IP addresses and none of them resemble the one that you are using. Very odd. Must have been a temporary glitch.
It's possible that your own service provider put up a temporary "Ban Everyone" to stop any traffic while they did some maintenance on their equipment.
Zosh has sent me some photos (of her hobbit house) as a slide show via email, but which uploaded into One Drive …. Is there a way of putting them on here ? I did try, but I suspect the file was too large ???
No-one knows if you've done your housework, but everyone knows if you've done your gardening !
if you click on the photos doesn't it give you an option to download/save as? if so you should then be able to resize them (i just use a custom resize option - much easier) that can be found in the photo manager - i assume you are using a pc rather than apple.
It seems that I can post again . For a long time I've been getting a message saying 'General Error' 'SQL Error'. I emailed Lee via the link it gave but today it seems to have cleared. Anyone have any idea why I was getting that message?
The board does occasionally give the SQL error message when the server is having hiccups
However the message also appears if you write a post with a character in it SQL (the coding language) can’t read such as an emoji, so perhaps there’s a character on your keyboard it doesn’t like? I
I tried various posts on different threads and even logged out a few times. I logged out again this morning and was able to post. I take your point about an emoji and as you know I always finish with so maybe it was that but heyho, it's working now.
Hello, why did the forum not accept my two Gmail email addresses which are NOT disposable? I constantly use them for both work and personal. In the end I had to use my company email address just to sign up in the forum. I think the forum bans anyone with common addresses and cannot distinguish those from disposable ones.
Hi ... Rats is over on Sakkarins thread unable to get onto Wildies ... I posted her a link and suggested she clear her history but still no luck. Any ideas?

Just recently (last couple of weeks) I notice that with our Apple MacBook Pro in the top reload window the following phrase occurs.....Not secure - Wildfood.info
It worries me slightly - can anyone throw any light on this ?
It’s a thing that Apple have added. For a site like this it shouldn’t be a problem.
The internet is moving from open sites to secure sites. That’s the ones with full addresses starting “https://” rather than “http://“. It m not sure of the full implication, but it seems to only be necessary for sites that you can use for buying things and the like, where you send more personal details like credit card numbers and addresses.
I have read something elsewhere that passwords might be vulnerable, a risk if they are shared with other more sensitive stuff. I am a complete computer idiot so check this with someone knowledgable before doing anything rash.
Zosh: It's giving you that because the website isn't "secured" through the use of a security certificate. That's intentional. We don't sell anything so we don't need to pay for a security certificate. You might be able to get rid of it by using: http://www.wildfood.info and not https://www.wildfood.info/
Em: That's true, but not the reason for the window.
Miss Mouse: You should never reuse passwords if at all possible.

It's always a good idea to follow the directions exactly the first time you try a recipe. But from then on, you're on your own. -- James Beard
I was trying to add a link to Kavey's blog after someone asked a question about a recipe. Using the link from the 'jump to' section at the bottom of the Wildie page did not take me to her blog. I seem to remember she revamped it some time ago and so I think the old link no longer works. Could this be updated?
Would someone ask her to try logging in again, please. Somehow her account had been made "Inactive". But I can't see any record of that being done by anyone. I have re-activated the account.
If she can't get in, I will reset the password or something...
