If it was your last meal what would it be?

Order yourself a latte, and a pastry (The virtual cinnamon buns are excellent today). And have a nice chat.

If it was your last meal what would it be?

Trouble is it would depend on the season for me! For summer it would be asparagus to start with lots of melted butter and some parmesan followed by roasted sewin with new potatoes, peas and hollondaise sauce and finally a bowl of ripe cherries, strawberries, raspberries and peaches all washed down with something very expensive :bounce: :bounce:

What about you?

I'll leave my winter/autumn menu until later........ :D

Definitely would have fresh crab starter with organic brown bread and home made may, followed by beef wellington with Jersey Royals (proper ones) and steamed carrots, lots of cheese with green salad with a walnut dressing and my pud would be Pavlova - with fresh raspberries.

All my favourite things in one sitting!!

Starter: lobster tails in champagne sauce with a light salad

Main: Juicey Rack of lamb with a herby crust with marsala and redcurrant sauce, roasted new potatoes, steamed baby carrots and steamed tenderstem broccoli.

Afters: some lovely cheeses with crackers and grapes (I don't like puds)

A bottle of nice shiraz

followed by coffee and VERY large Remy Martin

For me, the main consideration would be how quickly after my meal I was going to die! If it was very soon, then I'd have a meal of the sort of shellfish to which I'm allergic. Scallops cooked in the sort of fancy ways you see on Masterchef; moules and frites; a seafood platter; paella - I'm not fussy about what - they're all things I've missed out on over the last 30 odd years!

I'm sure whenever this occurs that there will still be so many dishes I've not tried, so a surprise meal from the Indian continent would be just fine

What's roast sewin please misty?

This changes for me all the time. At the moment it would be

scallops pea purée and chorizo

slow roasted pork belly, braised red cabbage with apples, potato and fennel dauphinoise and roast parsnips.

Dessert would be sticky toffee pudding, toffee sauce and vanilla ice cream.

Before dinner Id have a Screaming Orgasm cocktail, to start the meal off with a bang and finish it off with some amazing 18 year old port I had once at Xmas which I ve completely forgotten the name of!

Hi PKC, it's sea trout - only available for a short time mainly in Wales sort of May/June/July. My sister is over from the US at the end of the month and its deffo on the menu at my Mum's for us all!

I think too that on another day my choice of menu would be different! I love crab, scallops, a huge fruit de mer, rack of lamb, duck, very rare beef, very stinky smelly cheese oh the list is endless! :hungry:

Despite my wanting to choose something exquisite, it might just be something horribly chemical pumped down a drip feed...
