I've been looking for this for ages. Found in the attic in a box of recipes, collected in my twenties.

We lived where town faded into country when I grew up, and we had to have badger proof dustbins. Heard them quite a lot (mainly knocking over bins and plant pots) but seldom saw any

I few from my recent stay in Baden-Württemberg (Have just about recovered from my terrible journey home!) The weather/light was not conducie to good photography, unless one turns everythign black and white, I suppose.

Not taken many photos lately as either I've been ill or the light has been poor. I bought myself a pot of snakehead fratillery the other week and had a little session in the sitting room. I need to learn how to get the whole thing in focus when taking macros - I am doing 4-session photography course at the City Lit in April so I shall ask about it. It might involve stacking - but for now I am not averse to the semi-focused effect.

They are lovely flowers aren't they. I am hopeful that mine will come up again this year. It seems they are meadow/marsh flowers so need a damp environment. Nice photos Herb. :tu:

The ones already in my garden seem to be appearing. There is always a risk that the gardener will pull them. They are not in a marshy area, but the bottom of the garden is prone to flooding so maybe I should plant these ones down there.

Very nice :) I found it quite hard to get a good pic of the Tor, but you have done a good job of that! When we went up it last year, we pretty much went straight up it, goat style :o NOt to be recommended.

I went on another Hidden London tour on Friday. This time at Charing Cross. tbh it was a bit ore of the same, and I think showing us clips from films that had been shot there indicated a slight thinness of material! But still enjoyed it.

The posters are fake, apparently. Put there for filming. Some even have typos (ever the editor.)
