What are you drinking right now?

Down below the coffee shop is the cellar. Perfect for keeping the home made tipples a bit stronger than coffee or tea :-)

Gin with red vermouth and lots of ice. Very nearly a cocktail I suppose.

Do you know FCQ, I sometimes have a cocktail for pudding, if I need something sweet for a change. I have reverted to a Cinzano and Lemonade recently, loads of ice and a huge wedge of lemon. Almost have to go and put a flower in my hair ! ! !

There exists a photograph of me taken in San Francisco with flowers in my hair.

Back in the Summer of Love (yes, I remember it well) though I don't recall any of us drinking anything more sophisticated than either Coke or Cona coffee. Alcohol simply was not on the agenda - I suppose because we were of that post war generation whose parents bought a bottle of sherry every Christmas whether they were expecting visitors or not.

You will be pleased to know I have made up for it since.

We had alcohol regularly when I was growing up. ;)

Dad had a can of Mcewan's Export every Sunday lunch, Mum had lemonade and the 3 of us had whatever pop Mum had bought from the Corona man.

As I became older Dad would offer me a shandy, which was about half an inch of his beer filled up with lemo.
This continued until I left home...and quite possibly on visits home afterwards! :)

We drank tea at all other meals.

Just had a couple of :mug: of Twinings Gunpowder green tea. Yesterday, we had pink champagne, followed by red wine. We managed to take a 30min walk late afternoon in-between rain showers to clear the head!

A blonde Page 24. From the Brasserie St Germain in Aix-Noulette. One of my favourite beers. One that I shall try to emulate with my own cuve-matiere.

Snappo......!

I had a comforting mug of miso with wakame at lunch too - is that a nod to Winter or what?
Although - TBH - if I'm in need of any comforting - I have it all year round!

Right now I have just poured myself a glass of Langhorne Creek - a shiraz - not as good as expected - but not bad - and anyway there is the rest of the case to get through - so although it's not yet 'yardarm' - I'm helping out :P and besides - after my day - I deserve it...and some!

HI Elisa !
I have this infantile image of you on all fours slurping ice tea off the road..................
 Sooorrrry......................!

Me too Lush! I have it even when not in need of comforting.

Big French shop awaits me next week............... and on top of it I'm leaving one of the boys in the UK so there'll be even more room to pack those goodies in! :D

Wahey Luca..........!!!

It's long overdue (as is mine) - are you in training yet? Got to get those leg muscles strenthened and those arm muscles elongated.....you know the drill - and with extra space too.....Jackpot!!

Good time to go too - is your stash right down?
I always have an angelic feeling if I've used up most of the reserves (groceries) the booze disappears much quicker. His Lushlyness has long been fed up of his weekly jaunts to Majestic and the wine club - not enough choice for him - the pressure is on........!!

Great that you're meeting up with Elisa too - how long are going for?

Deeply jealous.............................!

Just a quick jaunt to catch up with the family and I'm taking time out from the outlaws to meet up with Elisa and her OH. I'm really looking forward to it as due to one thing and another we haven't been to France as often as we'd like recently.

My supplies are gone........... apart from one very large tin of cassoulet which is left over from our last big shop and wasn't exactly what we wanted to eat in the so called summer!
Now - better keep this thread on topic so leave me your ideas here......

I must try that Amber. I will be in Asda today and am really into my fizzy tonic drinks at the moment.

Right now I have orange juice mixed with tonic on the go which seems to work well with my morning cereal with mixed berries. :chops:
