Since being here we have experienced various.... Cherry, Walnut, Herb..... and of course slivovitch (plum) They tend to serve them as an aperitif. I like the walnut and Mr Z goes for the cherry.
The wines are mostly gorgeous a white Vaguva at 13.6 vol % which is rich, yellow and sublimely lush, to a red Merlot which is strong in character with a rich berry zingy flavour. A fave Plavac at 12% and quite peppery and goes well with red meat.
Croatian wines are very underestimated because I have never seen them abundantly in the UK
