Tree Onions

Out by the shed, near the chicken coop. The place everyone hangs out to discuss the various edibles they raise in their gardens/allotments.

Tree Onions

I bought some of these a couple of years ago (from Waitrose as I recall) ... I have just pulled one from the ground and used some in slow cooker with chicken. However, I have some of the bulbils (at the top in the pic) if anyone would like me to pop in the post

I have to say the only food item I have grown for some years.. I only bought them because I had never heard of them ;)

Oooh yes please Patsy - I've got a sort of 'odd spot' between the gooseberries and the raspberries which could take a semi-permanent something or other. Tree onions would be good there :D

Sorry not to respond to you all earlier ... I didn't look on this thread again. :( Anyway, I didn't have any more spares than what I put in the post to Suffolk, but will keep and eye open for them again in the Spring - not sure if there are any hibernating :? ;)
