Tomato Question ?

Out by the shed, near the chicken coop. The place everyone hangs out to discuss the various edibles they raise in their gardens/allotments.

Tomato Question ?

If you were to be buying Moneymaker tomato plants and they were 8" high, how much would you be happy to pay each?

Same for Cherry tomato plants for patios, plant hangers etc ?

I used to sell my surplus stock at the garden gate - 25p per plant. Donated to Marie Curie Cancer Care. Also sell apples - £1 a bag - about 6 -8 apples per bag. Never been sprayed.

I was going to post that I have seen them for about £1.25 each plant and just checked that J.Parker are selling them at £7.99 for 6 plants.

So about half that would be about right if you were selling them privately (or even less if you take Megan's suggestion) I would be more than happy with that price if I was buying from you.

I usually pay about £1.50 for plants ready to go out into the garden. They are from the only stall I regularly use on our Farmer's Market, and I know they won't fail because of poor cultivation up until the point they are sold to me.
