I have just heard that Prue Leith will joining the Bake Off team, I did not know that she was a baker.

Has it been confirmed? I've only read it in The Mail.

I know she has left GBM. I think she might be quite good.

Yes it is confirmed. It was on GMB this morning. I didn't know she was 76 :o

There's quite abit of baking in her books, and she has written one baking book

But I'm not sure that I'm going to watch it anyway ... I've always found PH soooooo irritating :rolleyes:

I like her - just wish they'd get rid of creepy Paul. Can't think of any duo still alive to present/compère or whatever you might call it - Matthew Fort and Oliver Peyton maybe? 8-)

Well, her publicity machine is in full cry, her wish for the job is in all the papers and one tabloid, apparently, has the details of her racy past! I bet she gets the job.
