the archer saga

thank heavens that pip has finally realised that it's much better to admit a fault than try to hide it. if only she'd done it earlier.

our neighbours cows once had a party in our garden while we were on holiday. when i mentioned it in passing (the hoof prints were obvious not to mention their own brand of mud pie) it was denied and, ridiculously, blamed on another local farmer (a friend of ours) even though we could see where they'd broken through. they didn't deny it a few weeks later when the same bullocks decided to race in circles round our house (like the kangaroos in 'stargazing live a couple of weeks ago) in the early morning, having again broken through in the same place.

i really don't think they are portraying will's reaction to nicks death very well (plus he's not a very good actor anyway).

(my partner thinks the same and he used to teach cruse counselors).

He’s a terrible actor. Joined the cast when he was about 10 because in real life he was the son of Terry Molloy who played Mike Tucker. When they had the clear out of terrible child actors I was surprised they kept him on.

that figures. i suppose it's difficult to get rid of him because his voice is so distinctive.
maybe they should find a reason to send him away until everyone's forgotten his voice and find a better actor - maybe he should emigrate.

it has occurred to me, possibly through a recent happening, that a digitalker may improve his acting.

wouldn't it be good if will was sent to prison, for withholding information/perverting the course of justice - for life‽‽‽

You can't wish that on Clarrie ..... she'd carry the guilt with her all her life eve tho' it wouldn't be her fault ...... I can't help feeling sorry for Will ... I really don't see him as negatively as some do ... some people just get things wrong every time ... and it wasn't his fault that his wife ran off with his brother was it? Can't remember him deserving that ...

it's not so much the character - although he is a bit of a nob - more the acting ability or lack of - maybe he could have his collar felt, get hysterical mutism and have a strangely different voice and acting ability after therapy.

I think they have totally different accents but they do have the same contralto-ish tones. Olwen is played by the wonderful Alison Steadman and I can always recognise her voice.

However!! Richard Lock, Rev Alan Franks and Harrison Burns all sound exactly the same to me.

my partner has just said that he's worried that if i did 'the pools' that i'd take out a contract on the actor who plays 'will'.
that would be a possibility - are 'the pools' still in existence?

hmm, yes, richard locke, did make a strange, quick reappearance last year, didn't he? probably refreshing peoples memory for a story to come. will alastair blame him for schula's position.

Not too bad thanks Rats. OH has been quite perky in this hot weather and I am getting terrific carer support. Hopefully he is going off on his usual residential violin making course next week so I will be able to recharge my batteries.

I can’t remember the Robin Fairbrother thing at all but I do remember Lizzie and Cameron Fraser.

I now have 3 questions to ask about the current plot.
1) Are there plans for rob to reappear?
2)How long will the Lily Ross affair last?
3)Will Jhonny manage to get Ellis the punishment he deserves?

Answers on a postcard!

hasn't she had more than her fair share of the emotional/sexual scandal stories?
i don't think anyone would be cruel enough to put her through (even more of) the ramifications that that would pile on her and the family - unless it's turning into 'eastenders' - i gather that they aren't averse to inordinate mounts of 'life' heaped on a small number of people.

Is my script writing accurate do you think? I believe they are going to find a very valuable painting in the locker at Lower Loxly which will save the day. What's with Natasha or is she the spoilt woman we suspected married the odd ball that is John?
