This could be worth a watch. Interesting mix of people.

I think it might be fun with those people, but the foods in the first episode are
Apple pie
Lamb shanks (presumably supermarket cooked)
Whisky :tu:

Only one of which I am likely to buy :D

I'm not particularly interested in the food. More the interaction. :)

I did watch this, it came across as a bit of filler I'm afraid. Didn't really get interaction between the guests, although got the impression that they were being quite vocal.

The apple pie result surprised me, I wouldn't have thought that Aunt Bessie's would be joint top with M&S, especially bearing in mind the price difference, so it just goes to show.

I wouldn't rush to watch it again but it was inoffensive viewing if not particularly inspiring.

I thought it was pants.  And Lucy Alexander needs a slap . . . .

ETA. There are far better apple pies on the market. I didn't like the way they'd been whittled down.

I missed the first part of it and vaguely watched the rest. It didn't inspire me. Had hoped it might be a little more interesting but..... it wasn't!

i thought they could do with fewer 'experts' and an extended sample - if they swapped over i think that would be much better - four 'experts' and eight (?) samples.

Yes, that's a good point scullion. I may give it another shot whilst doing something else in case. I do like Roux/Rayner combo.

Episode 2: Michel Roux Jr. and food experts blind taste-test tortelloni, coffee and sausages. And in the quick-fire round, cheese and onion crisps come under scrutiny.

Went off Michel when it was discovered all the tips in his restaurant went to him not the staff. However, thought we'd give it a go. Pants indeed, couldn't see any need for food traveling in an endless loop and wasn't the food cooked by a chef, not a packet bought in a supermarket?
