Kitchen Garden Live - Hairy Bikers

Postby TeresaFoodie » July 3rd, 2017, 9:37 am

New series starts today on BBC1 at 11am.

The write up makes it sound quite interesting and I shall be watching. Today the are at Hampton Court Palace which should make for a stunning back drop.

I shall have to record it ... I'll be watching Wimbledon.

I really enjoyed it. A good mix of all things foodie, interesting guests and humour. It seems to be a daily morning thing, possibly for this week only? I will watch again tomorrow. :tu:

I think I have brought up the wrong HB's series! This is not in my TV guide but programmed on TV as Asian Adventure. Venice? Asia? I suppose it is a last minute filler as the tennis is rained off. Good stuff anyway!

I hated the first series. They were always taking their trousers off and showing their bottoms. :o :o Am not averse to a male bottom but theirs weren't particularly attractive! 8-)

I like them now and their recipes usually work.

I think they come over as really nice blokes with a real enthusiasm for food (and a few other things besides) and a genuine liking for people in all their variety. I've bought a couple of their books and as you say PP, their recipes usually work ... and they cook 'real family food' not restaurant food :hungry:

I akin Dave Myers to an ex and good friend of mine in so many ways. Looks, enthusiasm for food, sense of humour. He always makes me smile. Si King sometimes comes across as trying to be as funny/genius as his mate but, although loveable, doesn't come close, apart from his talent with the knife upon chopping board and his passion for all things culinary. I could and have watched them all day.
