I am not sure about Bradley Walsh, he will be wanting to be centre of attention so may overshadow Mrs Dr Who a tad, but we shall see. It will either be a big success or a flop, thats's for aure.

He will be acting a part as he did in Law and Order, not being himself, it will be interesting to see what back story they give to a 57 year old man
I suppose the last male companion was Bernard Cribbins as Donna's grandpa, even older!

I don't think it's been officially announced about bradley walsh, just unsubstantiated rumours, as far as I can tell. Mr Hope is certainly hoping it is not true. (I have no idea who BW is, tbh!)

When I googled to check his age and see if I could find a name for the character, it looked as if it was officially announced earlier this week, he has been interviewed in the papers about it

Among other things, he hosts the quiz show The Chase, but he also done a lot of acting, some singing, some stand up and started out as a professional footballer
I didn't think I liked him, but some time ago I heard a long interview with him on the radio (I was stuck with him as driving) and he grew on me a bit, he's not as hyper or as brash as you expect when off-stage

Was that Desert Island Discs Sue ... I have a vague memory of hearing him on that and rather warming to him ...

No, I think he was Robert Elms Listed Londoner, on BBC London, and I got the feeling Elms warmed to him too

Oh OK, maybe Mr Hope is just in denial because he thinks he doesn't like him!
