Educating Greater Manchester

Anyone else watch this tonight? Heartbreaking and amazing in equal measure. If you are at all concerned about the folk educating our young people I urge you to watch this, Channel 4, on catch up. I think it's going to be right up there with Educating Yorkshire which was totally splendid.

Thank you for highlighting this PP. I doubt I would have watched it if you hadn't recommended it - but I am pleased that I did and shall watch the rest of the series.

The strict male teacher took me straight back to my schooldays and reminded me why I was a bit rebellious - it's like a red rag to a bull :).

I thought so too PP. So many extra layers of stuff for teachers to deal with and young people to process, it isn't at all straightforward. This is such an excellent series, I am fascinated at how they seem to bring the troubled ones around in ways which I think would have made me rebel more as a pupil.
