Urban Myths

Postby PatsyMFagan » April 24th, 2018, 6:29 pm

Anyone else watching this brilliant 30 minutes of (semi ?) fiction on Sky Arts ? I caught up with a re-run of an episode from the previous series - about Bob Dylan and last Thursday's episode was called 'Back Stage at the LIve Aid Concert'   Great semi impersonations/impressions of some of the stars (prima donnas) from that day. So cleverly written and hard not to have a chuckle at the irreverence. Next week's episode is called Johnny Cash and the Ostrich; written by and starring Frank Skinner. Can't wait ;) :bounce: :tu:

Frank Skinner will be on the Radcliffe and Maconie show (13.00 - 16.00 BBC R6) tomorrow talking about his Johnny Cash related Urban Myth. Probably around 14.00

I was regretting recommending this series as the last few episodes have been carp ! :( However, the first of 2 shown last night was about the 8 days that Agatha Christie went missing ... a masterpiece of satire/comedy or however you want to describe it, bringing in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Dorothy L Sayers . Very cleverly done ! ;) :tu:
