Rhod Gilbert's Work Experience

Postby TeresaFoodie » August 8th, 2018, 9:39 pm

Episode two of four tonight, Rhod played festival chef. IMO one of Britain's funniest funny men meets curry chef cooking for 100 festival goers. A mix of humour and food. Worth a watch I thought!

Hope the link works.

I like Rhod but for some reason don’t often watch Work Experience. Maybe I’ll give it a go

I thought that landing Rhod's angry with the world persona into a far from his comfort zone environment made for funny viewing, especially him refusing to measure ingredients which he doesn't ever do when cooking for two so why start now? He seemed to be throwing green cardamom in like there was no tomorrow and he didn't care.

Rhod Gilbert compered a charity event in our local theatre a while ago. He was very funny but when he came to run the charity auction it was absolute mayhem. Eventually at about 12.30 at night when the show should have finished at 22.00 the theatre staff threatened to turn off the lights unless he brought the show to a close. OH and I went home with our sides and faces aching from laughing so much.

 Sounds like fun! He really doesn't care does he?

A double bill of Rhod on Dave at 10pm tonight where he is a farmer and a butler. Should be a hoot!
