Did anyone else see this on BBC4 Monday night ? This is about George McGavin … a scientist, biologist and tv presenter who discovered he had a malignant melanoma on his heel. What a courageous man to have his journey with this televised and the new treatments now available … :tu: :tu: :tu:

yes, most heartening about the new treatment - sad about the death of the young woman on the programme though.

I shed some tears along with him … and yes, so sad about the young woman..

I hope he will be ok. I have met him. Spent an afternoon with him when he was still at Oxford. He was the expert on a book I wrote. He's a really nice chap. I wonder if he's still a chain smoker.
