5:2 Books

Postby icelesley » September 5th, 2013, 10:22 am

There seem to be several books on this. I have just bought The Fast Diet by Michael Mosley and Mimi Spencer who I believe started the diet. The book out lines the programme and suggests some menu ideas.

I am now looking at recipe books for the diet and there are again several. For those following the diet regime, which would you recommend?

None of them

All the ones I have looked at have been rubbish

Allegedly "calorie counted" recipes that include ingredients such as "1 ball of mozzarella", neither brand nor weight given (I worked it out, and to hit the calorie count you needed half a ball of Lidl reduced fat mozzarella) or the one that really made me despair; “1 potato” size or weight not indicated

You can include the official fast diet book too...

Which given the fact it was written by mimi spencer and she mentions being as accurate as possible really irritated me.
