I'm not a huge fan of ready meals. But it's useful to have a few on hand for emergencies IMO, but ones which fit the 5:2 diet are rare. So I was quite happy to see Tesco's new range broken down into <200 <300 and <500 meals (and <100 snacks)
So as they had a lot of these in the reduced aisle yesterday I thought I would try them...
Chicken with vegetables (iirc 168 calories) - 1 mini fillet and lots of peas and carrots (seriously TON of them). Weirdly tasting of absolutely nothing.
Minced beef and potatoes (iirc 180calories) - Slightly better but I wouldn't pay full price for it.
Roasted Mushroom cannelloni. Best of the bunch by far. Tasty and filling.
