I keep meaning to say that I think Will Grundy is moonlighting as a voice over on a Sky broadband advert I keep hearing on Classic FM … no mistaking that voice ;) :o

Possibly. I often hear the actress who plays Kirsty voicing adverts.

Talking of Kirsty, it's only this week I realised the scriptwriters are having a laugh - Kirsty and Phil . . . .

we have decided that the awful 'joy' woman had stolen hilda and released her, along with another cat, by peggy woolley's gate as a prank.
i really think the writer's are losing the plot (pun intended).

I tend to miss a few daily episodes and catch up on Sunday mornings ... the Joy person is incredibly annoying. I’m looking forward to a withering put down from Peggy.

Jim seems to understand that she is actually a very lonely person - perhaps they will get together? It would be no stranger than Oliver and Tracy

wasn't she an old cat? a stray or adopted from somewhere? maybe peggy thought she was either too old or had already been done.
i think her pregnancy would have shown before she went missing, a couple of weeks ago, if she gave birth as soon as she got back. maybe the writers don't have cats.

Hilda was quite young and given to Peggy by her hairdresser, Fabrice, whenBill, or was it Ben? died. She was too naughty of him.

Spoiler alert.

Is anyone still listening. The programme seems to be getting silly again and I'm struggling to keep up with all the new characters. However! This from next week's Radio Times:

It's a major week of Ambridge action, so details are in short supply. Mind you, unlike the world of TV soaps, where viwers are saturated with pre-broadcast spoilers, many Archers fans cry foul when too much is revealed in advance.

All we can say is that there are further problems at Grey Gables, as Freddie rebuffs Lynda's attempts to apologise. Elsewhere Tom and Natasha's first wedding anniversary doesn't go to plan, but such concerns end up paling into insignificance when something unexpected rocks the village. Expect the repercussions to play out in the weeks to come.

I have a theory, what's yours?

What will Tom unearth with the metal detector while looking for his ring ? Wasn't there a missing person a few years ago in the days of 'Rob the villain' ?

i think his ring is going to be in the cake - and his 'little white lie' will be found out by natasha.

whatever it is that's going to 'rock' ambridge involves a doctor and a couple of other unnamed actors - according to the cast list in the radio times - maybe lillian and linda are going to have a punch-up.

those are interesting ideas - except for one or two facts. the doctor isn't named - therefore possibly not a 'known' doctor and the other one is that unless dr locke has had a sex change - the actor is female (unless he's called jessica).

Brilliant plot twist though. They did this with Rob. Got him well into the cast list/community and then “developed” his character.
